On October 26, 2024, we joined partners at the Lamplighter Inn Community Resource Fair in Charlotte to provide financial education and connect residents with housing, health, and community resources during a time of transition.
On October 26, 2024, the Konspicuous Foundation joined the Friends of the Lamplighter Inn and other local organizations for the Lamplighter Inn Community Resource Fair at 3700 Freedom Drive in Charlotte, NC.
This event was created to support residents of the Lamplighter Inn, many of whom face temporary displacement during planned renovations to improve living conditions. Most residents earn income through odd jobs, contract work, or small businesses, making them uniquely positioned for our financial literacy and entrepreneurship education resources.
Throughout the afternoon, attendees connected with agencies offering support in mental health, housing for low-to-moderate income households, nutrition, and local government services. Guests also enjoyed refreshments, produce giveaways, and opportunities to learn about programs to improve their financial stability and overall well-being.
The Konspicuous Foundation was proud to help residents explore financial strategies for budgeting, saving, and growing income — empowering them to make informed decisions during a time of transition.
